I’m an adult and have never ridden before What horse riding lesson should I book?
We recommend either a group horse riding lesson which happen in the evenings for during the week or alternatively an individual lesson where an instructor can give you personal attention for the whole session.
What will I learn?
Firstly you master the basic principles of riding, holding the reins, starting, stopping, basic turns. The next stages include mastering the rising trot and then, cantering.
Once established as a rider there are more advanced group horse riding lesson or individual lessons.
When can I hack out?
Riders who can canter you can hack out with a group on various days throughout the week. We can accommodate novice riders in private hacks.
How old do my children need to be before they can ride?
Children have to be at least four years-old before they start to ride.
What horse riding lessons can my child have?
We have beginner lessons everyday if the week, weekdays every day at 4pm and various times at the weekend. These lessons are 1/2hour and are designed to be fun and confidence building. Once your child is confidently off the lead rein and cantering we have Intermediate groups then Advanced. These also happen everyday of the week.
What do I need to wear?
Riding hats can be hired from the centre, all of which are to the latest European safety standard, PAS 015, which exceeds the new British safety standard and is the highest standard available.
It is advisable to wear leggings, track suit bottoms, comfortable trousers with a sensible pair of boots or shoes when horse riding, preferably with a small heel and a smooth sole. We have some boots available to borrow. Once you are establish that you want to continue horse riding we can point you in the right direction to buy your own equipment.
Once booked what do I need to do on the day?
Before your first riding lesson with us you will need to fill out a Rider Registration Form. You can either download this form on the website, pick one up from the centre beforehand or alternatively arrive 15 minutes early and fill it out before riding. We also advise all riders to have their own insurance. We offer insurance through The Equine Club.
Horse Riding times
We ride every day during the week, weekdays starting at 9:00 a.m. until 8:30pm. Weekends we ride from 9:00am through until 4.30pm.

Often a credit card deposit will be taken over the phone, especially for new clients. Any cancellations must be notified to us 24 hours in advance. Any cancellation on the day of the lesson will be subject to a cancellation charge.
